Job Title: Vehicle Operations Executive
Location: Bangaluru
Department: Operations / Fleet Management
Reports to: Fleet Manager / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Vehicle Operations Executive is responsible for managing, coordinating, and ensuring the optimal operation of the company’s taxi fleet. This includes overseeing vehicle maintenance, driver coordination, compliance with regulatory requirements, record-keeping, and supporting the efficient dispatch and utilization of vehicles. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor and manage day-to-day operations of the taxi fleet.
Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, servicing, and inspections.
Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and comply with government regulations and company standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle documents (insurance, registration, permits, fitness certificates, etc.).
Track fuel consumption, mileage, and operational costs.
Support driver onboarding, training, and ensure drivers adhere to company policies and safety standards.
Handle incidents and accidents involving vehicles or drivers, including documentation and reporting.
Use fleet management systems or GPS tracking tools to monitor vehicle movement and performance.
Liaise with garages, vendors, and external service providers as needed.
Ensure timely renewal of licenses, permits, and insurance.
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet performance, expenses, and usage.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in the taxi or transportation sector.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, regulatory requirements, and fleet operations.
Proficient in MS Office and fleet tracking software.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency situations.
Preferred Skills:Knowledge of local transport regulations and licensing procedures.
Experience working with ride-hailing platforms or taxi dispatch systems.
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with drivers and team members.
