Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager

Role Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through structured lead conversion, client relationship management, and disciplined sales execution. This role requires strong ownership of targets, team performance, and coordination with design, projects, and operations to ensure smooth customer onboarding and closure.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

Own monthly and quarterly sales targets for construction/interior projects.

Convert inbound and outbound leads into signed contracts.

Drive site visits, client meetings, proposal discussions, and closures.

Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

Client Relationship Management

Act as the primary point of contact until project sign-up.

Understand client requirements and align expectations on scope, timelines, and costs.

Ensure clear communication on deliverables, exclusions, and payment milestones.

Handle pre-signup escalations and objections professionally.

Team Management

Lead, train, and monitor the performance of sales executives.

Set daily and weekly activity targets and review conversions.

Conduct regular pipeline reviews and forecast accuracy.

Enforce discipline in follow-ups, reporting, and CRM updates.

Coordination & Handover

Coordinate with design teams for timely proposals and layouts.

Ensure complete and clean handover to design and project teams post-signup.

Avoid scope ambiguity that leads to execution or billing disputes.

Support collections related to booking and early-stage payments.

Pricing & Commercial Control

Ensure pricing aligns with approved rate cards and margin expectations.

Avoid unauthorized discounts or commitments.

Get approvals for any commercial deviations.

Support negotiation while protecting company profitability.

Reporting & Process Adherence

Maintain accurate sales reports, MIS, and CRM data.

Track lead sources, conversion ratios, and revenue trends.

Follow company sales processes and documentation standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Clear communication and client-handling maturity.

Ability to manage pressure and aggressive targets.

Structured approach to pipeline and time management.

Experience & Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in sales, preferably in construction or interior design.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
