Job Summary

The Sales Manager is solely responsible to carry out all the selling related functions at the store allocated. He along with his team accomplish the goal set by the company in the manner the management intends it to be, without compromising on any of its principles and value systems.

Job Description

  • Should independently manage the floor and be responsible for meeting sales targets set by the management in tandem with the sales manager himself/herself
  • Self-motivated, should plan, schedule, and execute day to day store activities for ensuring smooth operations
  • Ensure prevalence of high degree of hygiene, staff grooming and customer satisfaction in the store
  • Should be high on Product knowledge. Should be able to envision customer’s vision and demonstrate product knowledge through art (product design). Creativeness is a big plus
  • Responsible for handling end to end stores operations from raising purchase request of good to managing inventory to sales
  • Ensure adherence to process, policies and procedures in all aspects of stores operations
  • Maintain optimum stock level in all departments
  • Work in tandem with house keeping to maintain the business premises as per standards set and in accordance by the management
  • In depth understanding of the market and through understanding of products, pricing.
  • Should be able to convert opportunities to sales
  • Strong business acumen and adaptability to changing market landscape
  • MIS skills to capture key store metrics and report to the management will be a plus

The company has planned to achieve its first milestone to stabilize and accelerate growth over a period of 5 years. The Sales manager must commit himself/herself to be able to responsibly serve as the head of the sales team for a minimum term of 3 years.

Education and Experience

Graduate in any discipline with 4+ years of experience as a sales manager and a total of 8+ years of experience in sales (including his/her experience 4years as sales manager)

Knowledge and skills

Strong communicative, written and oral skills. Ability to lead effectively and deliver results. Able to influence and balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative. Able to drive his team to excellence in serving clients persistently. Supports innovation and change across the organisation. Tech savvy, good knowledge on ms office and ERP software.
