Job Description
- Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Ensure accuracy of all accounting entries and reconcile accounts as required.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- 2. Compliance & Statutory FilingsManage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings accurately and on time.
- Maintain records to comply with applicable Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with tax advisors/auditors for statutory audits and tax audits and provide documentation.
- 3. Financial Analysis & Budget SupportAssist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
- Monitor trends in key financial data and notify management of unexpected variances.
- 4. Accounts OperationsOversee accounts payable/receivable, vendors and customer reconciliations.
- Supervise cash flow activities, bank reconciliations, and inventory-linked accounting.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and supporting documentation.
- 5. Systems & Process ImprovementEnsure accurate ERP or accounting software entries (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
- Contribute to automation of reporting and reduction of manual errors.
- 6. Team Coordination & MentoringGuide and supervise junior accounting staff.
- Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and production teams for accounting alignments.
