Job Description
- Execution & Supervision:
- Supervise all on-site activities including excavation, RCC work, masonry, plastering, and finishing.
- Ensure that construction follows the GFC (Good for Construction) drawings provided by the architects and structural engineers.
- Layout marking and checking of centerlines, column positions, and levels using Auto-levels or Total Stations.
- Quality Control & Safety:
- Implement rigorous quality checks for all incoming materials (cement, steel, sand, etc.) and workmanship.
- Conduct routine tests such as concrete cube casting/testing and slump tests.
- Enforce strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards on-site to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Resource & Labor Management:
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors and daily wage labor to maintain project timelines.
- Track material consumption and maintain a Daily Progress Report (DPR) to prevent wastage or shortages.
- Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor for material indents and reconciliation.
- Technical Skills:
- Drawing Literacy: Advanced ability to interpret structural, architectural, MEP, and firefighting drawings.
- Software: Basic proficiency in AutoCAD (for quick site references) and MS Excel (for reporting).
- Planning: Knowledge of project scheduling and the ability to identify potential delays before they occur.
- Education & Professionalism:
- Degree: Mandatory Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in Kannada and English/Hindi to manage local labor and interact with clients.
- Mobility: Must be willing to be on-site full-time and handle the fast-paced environment of North Bangalore's construction sector.
