Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) with advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to deliver premium-quality image editing solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing complex editing tasks, maintaining quality standards, mentoring team members, and supporting creative workflows. Basic video editing knowledge is required to assist with simple motion or video-based content when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Image Editing & Creative Execution

Perform high-end image editing and retouching using Adobe Photoshop for commercial, eCommerce, lifestyle, and marketing images.

Handle advanced retouching including skin retouching, color correction, background removal, compositing, shadow creation, and object manipulation.

Use Adobe Lightroom for bulk image processing, color grading, exposure correction, and workflow optimization.

Ensure output meets client brand guidelines, quality benchmarks, and turnaround timelines.

Quality Control & Process Ownership

Act as the SME for Photoshop and Lightroom, defining best practices and quality standards.

Review and audit edited images to ensure consistency and accuracy before final delivery.

Troubleshoot complex editing challenges and provide technical solutions.

Create and maintain editing SOPs, presets, and action workflows.

Support & Training for Team and Vendors

Guide, mentor, and train junior editors and new hires and vendors on advanced editing techniques.

Provide constructive feedback to improve productivity and creative quality.

Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce rework.

Video Editing (Basic)

Perform basic video editing tasks when required.

Assist with short-form videos, reels, or promotional clips when required.

Coordinate with video editors (internal team / vendors) for advanced video projects.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with internal teams, vendors, project managers, and quality teams to meet client requirements.

Understand client feedback and incorporate revisions accurately.

Maintain clear documentation of workflows and edits.

Required Skills & Expertise

Technical Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (mandatory).

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Lightroom for professional image workflows.

Strong understanding of color theory, lighting, shadows, and composition.

Knowledge of file formats, resolution standards, and output optimization for web and print.

Basic video editing skills using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro / FCP/ After Effects (or similar).

Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.

Good communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or equivalent practical experience.

3–6+ years of hands-on experience in professional image editing and retouching.

Prior experience in eCommerce, advertising, or creative agencies is a plus.

Preferred Attributes

Experience working with international clients and strict quality SLAs.

Knowledge of AI-assisted editing tools and automation workflows.

Ability to handle high-volume image processing without compromising quality.
