Job Description

The Territory Sales Executive (TSE) is responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products, building strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, chemists, and stockists, and achieving the sales targets within the assigned territory. The role also includes market development, product promotion, and maintaining accurate sales and field reports.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Field Work & Sales Promotion Promote the company’s pharmaceutical products to Doctors, Hospitals, Chemists, and Stockists within the assigned territory.


  • Conduct doctor detailing and product presentations using company visual aids and promotional materials.
  • Generate Personal Order Bookings (POBs) from doctors, hospitals, chemists, and stockists.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets assigned by the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals and trade partners.


2.Territory Management Work within the assigned Headquarter, Ex-Headquarter, and Outstation areas as per the approved tour program.

  • Prepare and submit day-wise and locality-wise tour plans to the reporting manager.
  • Ensure effective coverage of the territory to maximize market potential.

3. Doctor Coverage & Market Development Maintain a list of 150 potential doctors within the territory in consultation with the Area Sales Manager/Regional Sales Manager.

  • Visit all 150 listed doctors at least once every 30 days.
  • Identify and prioritize 50 Super Core Doctors and ensure two additional visits per month.
  • Update the Doctor Master List every six months (March and September) with additions or deletions as per company guidelines.


Objectives of this role

*Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-value accounts (hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical distributors, etc.).

*Serve as the main point of contact between the pharmaceutical company and key customers.

*Understand customer needs, identify new opportunities, and align solutions that deliver value to the customer.

*Distributors for stock Avaliability for orders

*Monitor and report on account performance, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

*Visiting for Corporate Hospitals, Institutions & KOL Dr's

* Understand the demographics of the territory and devise medical product sales strategies as per the territory

* Build and foster a thriving relationship with hospitals, doctors, medical staff and other prospective buyers

* Translate the vision and mission of the company through effective pharmaceutical sales

* Research and learn about the dynamic medical sales job market and be up-to-date with industry trends

* Achieve sales targets set by the company and increase the sales figures with every passing year. Your tasks

* Coordinate and collaborate with medical staff and healthcare providers through regular meetings

* Follow up on potential leads and convert them into clients through presentations, meetings, one-on-ones and workshops

* Have in-depth knowledge of the compensation’s offerings as a healthcare sales rep

* Meet pharmaceutical sales targets, negotiate contracts, review pharmaceutical sales job performance and drugs reports on the same

* You will take and accept instructions from your superiors from me to me as an Medical Representative; you would be required to discharge your functions and du es in a manner not detrimental to the interest of the Company


Required skills and qualifications

* Any degree or a related discipline.

* Experience working as a medical representative or in a similar role

* Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills

* Ability to travel independently and frequently Preferred skills and qualifications

* Strong negotiate on and organizational skills.

* Ability to network and foster strong working relationships.
