Job Title: Toll AuditorDepartment: Toll Operations / Finance / Internal Audit

Reporting To: Toll Manager / Finance Head / Audit Manager

Location: Toll Plaza / Head Office (as applicable)

Job PurposeThe Toll Auditor is responsible for verifying toll collection operations to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with company policies, concession agreement terms, and applicable statutory requirements. The role focuses on revenue assurance, fraud prevention, and operational efficiency at toll plazas.

1. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesToll Collection Audit
2. 
   

• Audit daily toll collection records, cash transactions, FASTag transactions, and system-generated reports.
• Verify vehicle classification and applicable toll rates as per notified schedules.
• Cross-check shift-wise, lane-wise, and plaza-wise toll data.

1. Revenue Reconciliation
2. 
   

• Reconcile cash, FASTag, exempted vehicles, and passes with system reports.
• Identify shortages, excess collections, and revenue leakages.
• Prepare variance reports and submit explanations to management.

1. Compliance & Controls
2. 
   

• Ensure adherence to concession agreement, NHAI / Authority guidelines, and company SOPs.
• Monitor compliance with exemption rules for government, emergency, and VIP vehicles.
• Check proper functioning and usage of toll collection systems and equipment.

1. Fraud Detection & Risk Mitigation
2. 
   

• Identify irregularities, manipulation, or misuse of toll lanes and tags.
• Review CCTV footage, log books, and audit trails where required.
• Report suspected frauds or deviations immediately to higher authorities.

1. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports.
• Maintain proper audit records, checklists, and supporting documents.
• Assist during internal, statutory, and authority audits.

1. Coordination & Support
2. 
   

• Coordinate with toll operators, supervisors, IT support, and FASTag service providers.
• Provide audit observations and recommend corrective actions.
• Support management in improving toll operations and controls.
• Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Knowledge of toll operations and FASTag systems
• Attention to detail and high integrity
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and toll management software
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Educational QualificationGraduate in Commerce / Accounting / Finance / Management
• Relevant experience in toll operations or revenue audit preferred
• Experience1–5 years of experience in toll auditing, cash handling audit, or revenue operations (preferred)
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Accuracy of toll revenue reconciliation
• Timely submission of audit reports
• Reduction in revenue leakage and discrepancies
• Compliance with audit timelines and SOPs
