VMC Machine Operator

Roles and Responsibilities

• Minimum Two (2) machine to be run
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and VMC programs.
• Set up the VMC machine, including:
• Installing and aligning tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Selecting and loading the correct tooling (cutters, drills, end mills, etc.).
• Setting tool offsets and workpiece coordinates (zero points).
• Perform basic maintenance checks before operation (coolant levels, air supply, cleanliness, etc.).
• Run the VMC programs and monitor the machine during the machining process.
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and cutting paths as needed to optimize performance.
• Check for signs of tool wear or breakage and change tools when necessary.
• Ensure the machine runs without interruptions and safely.
• Use precision measuring tools (like calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.) to inspect finished parts.
• Perform in-process inspection and final quality checks to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Clean and maintain the machine regularly to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate production records, including:

1. Machine hours

2. Production quantities

3. Scrap and rework

4. Tool changes and downtime

• इंजीनियरिंग ड्रॉइंग, ब्लूप्रिंट और VMC प्रोग्राम को पढ़ना और समझना।
• VMC मशीन की सेटअप करना, जिसमें निम्नलिखित शामिल है:
• टूल्स, फिक्स्चर और वर्कपीस को स्थापित करना और सही ढंग से संरेखित करना।
• उपयुक्त टूल्स (जैसे कटर, ड्रिल, एंड मिल आदि) का चयन और लोड करना।
• टूल ऑफसेट और वर्कपीस कोऑर्डिनेट्स (शून्य बिंदु) को सेट करना।
• संचालन से पहले बुनियादी निरीक्षण करना, जैसे:
• कूलेंट स्तर की जांच करना।
• एयर सप्लाई की पुष्टि करना।
• मशीन की सफाई और सामान्य स्थिति का परीक्षण करना।
• VMC प्रोग्राम को चलाना और मशीनिंग प्रक्रिया के दौरान मशीन की निगरानी करना।
• आवश्यकतानुसार फीड, स्पीड और कटिंग पथ को समायोजित करना ताकि प्रदर्शन में सुधार किया जा सके।
• टूल के घिसने या टूटने के संकेतों की पहचान करना और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर टूल को बदलना।
• यह सुनिश्चित करना कि मशीन बिना किसी रुकावट और सुरक्षित रूप से काम करे।
• तैयार किए गए पुर्जों का निरीक्षण करने के लिए सटीक माप उपकरणों (जैसे कैलिपर, माइक्रोमीटर, हाइट गेज, CMM आदि) का उपयोग करना।
• प्रक्रिया के दौरान और अंतिम चरण में गुणवत्ता निरीक्षण करना ताकि यह सुनिश्चित हो सके कि पुर्जे निर्धारित आयामों और सहनशीलताओं (tolerances) के अनुरूप हों।
• मशीन की नियमित सफाई और रखरखाव करना ताकि खराबी से बचा जा सके।
• उत्पादन से संबंधित सटीक रिकॉर्ड बनाए रखना, जिसमें शामिल हैं:

1. मशीन चलने का समय (Machine Hours)
2. उत्पादन की मात्रा (Production Quantities)
3. स्क्रैप और दोबारा काम (Scrap and Rework)
4. टूल परिवर्तन और मशीन डाउनटाइम (Tool Changes and Downtime)
