Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong VMC Programmer to join our machining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for Vertical Machining Centers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistent production quality.

This role requires strong drawing interpretation skills, tooling knowledge, and a deep understanding of machining parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop CNC programs for VMC machines using CAM software or manual programming (G & M codes).
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and process requirements.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies.
• Optimize cycle time while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform prove-out and first-piece validation.
• Support operators during setup and production runs.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain program documentation and revision control.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• ITI/Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 3–8 years of experience in VMC programming.
• Strong knowledge of G & M codes.
• Hands-on experience with CAM software (Mastercam / SolidCAM / NX / etc.).
• Good understanding of cutting tools, inserts, speeds & feeds.
• Experience in precision components with tight tolerances.
• Preferred SkillsExperience with FANUC / Siemens controllers.
• Exposure to automotive or high-precision machining industries.
• Knowledge of process improvement and cost reduction techniques.
• Basic fixture design understanding.
