Wine Specialist

The Reliever Wine Specialist is responsible for providing support across multiple retail store locations in the absence of regular Wine Specialists. This role involves assisting customers with wine selections, maintaining inventory and records, and ensuring that the wine section is professionally managed and merchandised. The position requires flexibility, mobility, and a good understanding of retail wine operations.

• Mobility: Report to various store locations as needed, based on the schedule provided by the Area or Store Manager.
• Customer Assistance: Guide customers with wine recommendations based on taste preferences, food pairings, and budgets.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate wine inventory records, ensure proper stock rotation, and assist with ledger entries and stock counts.
• Documentation: Support in updating inventory logs, daily sales summaries, transfers, and other wine-related documentation.
• Merchandising: Organize and maintain attractive wine displays and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the wine section.
• Store Support: Fill in for permanent Wine Specialists during leave or high-traffic periods, ensuring continuity of service.
• Product Knowledge: Stay updated on wine regions, varietals, vintages, and promotions to educate customers and support store staff.
• Compliance: Ensure responsible service of alcohol and adherence to store policies and legal regulations.
