Accountant

ob Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant responsible for maintaining and updating financial records by transferring data from manual books into Tally. The role requires accuracy, consistency, and a strong understanding of accounting principles to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance.

• Key Responsibilities:Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally ERP / Tally Prime
• Accurately enter data from manual books/registers into Tally
• Verify and reconcile manual entries with digital records
• Maintain records of:
• Sales & Purchase Entries
• Receipts & Payments
• Journal Vouchers
• Bank Transactions
• Perform bank reconciliation on a regular basis
• Ensure proper ledger creation and maintenance
• Track outstanding receivables and payables
• Assist in GST data preparation and basic compliance
• Maintain organized documentation of bills, invoices, and vouchers
• Support in monthly and yearly financial closing
• Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or similar role
• Strong knowledge of Tally (ERP 9 / Tally Prime)
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle manual records and convert them into digital format
• Basic knowledge of GST is preferred
• Preferred Skills:Experience in handling manual bookkeeping systems
• Familiarity with transport/logistics accounting (optional but valuable)
• Ability to manage multiple entries efficiently
