Job Title: Accountant – Construction & Fabrication

Location: Bangalore

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Finance Head / Director / CEO

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Accountant with 3 years of experience, preferably in construction or fabrication projects, to handle day-to-day accounting, project billing, and statutory compliance. The candidate will play a key role in managing project-wise financials, vendor payments, and cost tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally / Zoho Books
• Handle Purchase, Sales, Receipts, and Payments entries
• Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny

2. Project Billing & Costing

• Prepare client invoices based on project stages (e.g., MS structure, pergola, roofing)
• Track project-wise expenses and profitability
• Monitor material costs, labor payments, and subcontractor bills
• Support estimation team with cost data

3. Vendor & Payment Management

• Manage vendor accounts and payment schedules
• Verify contractor/fabricator bills before processing
• Maintain outstanding payable & receivable reports

4. Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
• Handle TDS deductions and filings
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Coordinate with CA for audits and filings

5. Payroll & Admin Support

• Process employee salaries, labor wages, and advances
• Maintain attendance and wage records for site workers
• Handle reimbursement and petty cash management

6. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare monthly MIS reports (cash flow, expenses, project status)
• Provide financial insights to management for decision-making
• Maintain proper documentation for all transactions

Required Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com (or equivalent)
• 3 years of accounting experience (construction/fabrication preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial compliance

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)
• Understanding of project-based accounting
• Good communication and coordination skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience in construction, roofing, pergola, or MS fabrication industry
• Knowledge of site billing, BOQ, and project costing
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
