Accounts ManagerJob SummaryThe Accounts Manager is responsible for managing the hospital’s financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and efficient handling of revenue, expenses, and payroll. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial discipline and supporting decision-making through timely reports.

• 1. Financial ManagementOversee day-to-day accounting operations of the hospital
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and financial stability
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• 2. Billing & Revenue CycleSupervise patient billing, collections, and insurance claims
• Ensure proper invoicing for OPD, IPD, and therapy services
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on dues
• Coordinate with front office and billing teams
• 3. Payroll & Salary ProcessingPrepare and process employee salaries in coordination with HR
• Ensure deductions like PF, ESI, PT, and TDS are correctly applied
• Maintain payroll records and statutory compliance
• 4. Compliance & TaxationEnsure compliance with GST, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements
• Handle tax filings, audits, and financial documentation
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities
• 5. Budgeting & Cost ControlPrepare annual budgets and monitor expenses against budgets
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting quality of care
• Analyze financial data to support management decisions
• 6. Audit & ReportingCoordinate internal and external audits
• Prepare audit reports and ensure timely closure of observations
• Generate MIS reports for management review
• 7. Team ManagementSupervise accounts staff and billing team
• Provide training and ensure adherence to financial policies
• Maintain discipline and accuracy within the department
• QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory
• Master’s Degree (M.Com/MBA Finance) – Preferred
• CA Inter / CMA Inter – Added advantage
• Experience5–12 years of experience in accounting/finance
• Minimum 2–3 years in hospital or healthcare sector preferred
• Key SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting principles and hospital billing systems
• Familiarity with Tally/ERP software
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good leadership and communication abilities
• Additional RequirementsAttention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential financial data
• Strong coordination with HR, operations, and management teams
