Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advocate to join our legal team in a dynamic real estate company. The successful candidate will provide legal support for various real estate transactions, property disputes, and ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will be instrumental in drafting contracts, reviewing legal documents, and representing the company in legal matters related to real estate operations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the real estate team on property transactions, land acquisition, development, leasing, and sales.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as sale agreements, lease agreements, property titles, and contracts.
- Represent the company in court proceedings, hearings, arbitrations, and legal disputes.
- Conduct due diligence on property transactions, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Advise on zoning laws, land use regulations, and compliance with local and national real estate laws.
- Assist in resolving property-related disputes, including boundary issues, title disputes, and contractual disputes.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with other departments, including finance, development, and sales, to provide legal guidance in all aspects of real estate operations.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisors, consultants, and law firms.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- A valid advocate's license to practice law.
- Proven experience in real estate law, including property transactions, disputes, and contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of local real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and legal matters simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:Experience in handling large-scale property transactions and real estate development projects.
- Familiarity with international real estate laws and cross-border transactions.
- Strong network with local authorities, government bodies, and real estate industry professionals.
