Job Description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Bangalore & Karnataka
Location: Bangalore, India (Handling Karnataka)
Industry: FMCG (Beverages – Mocktails & Functional Drinks)
Department: Sales – General Trade, Modern Trade & HoReCa
Experience Required: 6–12 years

Role Overview:We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales operations in Bangalore and key Karnataka markets. The role demands strong execution capabilities, distributor network development, and hands-on leadership to scale business across General Trade, Modern Trade, and HoReCa channels.
- Key Responsibilities:Drive primary and secondary sales to achieve assigned area-wise volume and value targets.
- Build, expand, and manage General Trade, Modern Trade, and HoReCa distribution networks.
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, stockists, and key retail outlets.
- Ensure distributors achieve optimal ROI through effective schemes, claims management, and market execution.
- Execute market activation initiatives including visibility, merchandising, promotions, and sampling.
- Develop beat plans and manage the on-ground sales team (Sales Officers, TSIs, DSRs).
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competition; take corrective actions when required.
- Ensure FIFO adherence, stock hygiene, and expiry control across the supply chain.
- Strengthen trade relationships and resolve market-level escalations efficiently.
- Share regular market intelligence and feedback with marketing and leadership teams.
- Desired Candidate Profile:6–12 years of experience in FMCG sales; beverage experience (Juices, Dairy, Soft Drinks, Energy Drinks, etc.) preferred.
- Strong experience in distributor management, team handling, and target achievement.
- In-depth knowledge of Bangalore and Karnataka trade markets.
- Proven exposure to General Trade; experience in HoReCa or Modern Trade is an added advantage.
- High energy, execution-focused, and growth-oriented mindset.
