• Job Title: Assistant Production Manager
• Reporting to: Production Manager / Operations Manager
• Location: Company Production Floor and Office
• Working Hours & Shifts: Regular office hours or according to production needs (may require shift work, night shifts, or overtime to meet production goals)
• Salary Range: Negotiable based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing daily production operations to ensure smooth workflows.
• Assist in creating production schedules and timelines, ensuring production plans align with customer demands.
• Allocate and coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment required for production to optimize resource utilization.
• Supervise quality control during the production process to ensure products meet company standards and specifications.
• Track production progress and regularly report project status and production performance to the Production Manager.
• Estimate production costs, including raw materials, equipment, and labor expenses, and assist in budget control.
• Address abnormal issues and bottlenecks during production, propose improvement plans, and execute them.
• Ensure the production floor complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments (e.g., procurement, warehouse, QC, R&D) to ensure smooth production.
• Monitor the performance and maintenance status of production equipment to ensure normal operations.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising production team members to enhance team performance.
• Promote production process improvements and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Handle customer inquiries or production disputes, reporting them to the Production Manager when necessary.
• Prepare and maintain production status reports, cost analyses, and performance data.

Qualifications:

• University degree or college diploma; a major in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations Management, or related fields is highly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in production management, manufacturing, or related fields; candidates with prior experience as a Production Assistant, Production Supervisor, or similar roles are preferred.
• Familiar with production processes, production scheduling, and resource planning.
• Understanding of quality control standards and Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles.
• Budget management and cost control capabilities.
• Familiar with health and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, Factory Acts).
• Good leadership skills and team management experience.
• Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight delivery deadlines.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel for data analysis); familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
• Experience using production scheduling software or project management tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal coordination skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Data analysis capabilities, able to propose improvement suggestions based on production data.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and highly responsible.
• Basic English reading and writing skills, able to read technical documents and communicate (subject to company needs).
• Proactive, able to work independently, and execute tasks effectively under the guidance of the Production Manager.
