Assistant Restaurant Manager – Job Roles & Responsibilities




1. Store Operations Management



  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily outlet operations to ensure smooth store functioning.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed as per company standards.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with brand SOPs and operational guidelines.
  • Handle customer flow during peak hours and ensure fast service.




2. Team Leadership & Staff Management



  • Supervise shift staff including crew members, cashiers, and service staff.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and shift planning.
  • Train new employees on service standards, product knowledge, and POS operations.
  • Motivate the team to achieve daily sales targets and service excellence.
  • Address staff concerns and maintain positive team morale.




3. Customer Service & Experience



  • Ensure every guest receives excellent customer service and a positive dining experience.
  • Resolve customer complaints and feedback professionally.
  • Maintain brand standards in service presentation and customer engagement.
  • Monitor service speed to reduce customer waiting time.




4. Sales & Revenue Management



  • Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Promote upselling of ice cream flavors, sundaes, and add-ons.
  • Assist in executing promotional campaigns and marketing activities.
  • Monitor sales reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue.




5. Inventory & Cost Control



  • Monitor daily inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, cones, cups, and packaging.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) to minimize wastage.
  • Assist in stock ordering and vendor coordination.
  • Control food cost and operational wastage.




6. Cash Handling & Reporting



  • Ensure accurate billing and POS transactions.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and daily cash reconciliation.
  • Prepare shift reports, sales reports, and inventory reports for management.




7. Compliance & Safety



  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain equipment safety and store maintenance.
  • Ensure staff follow uniform and grooming standards.
