Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store. This includes leading the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and achieving sales and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to drive team performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•         Assist the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, staff management, and customer service.

•         Lead and motivate team members to meet and exceed performance goals.

•         Monitor inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and ensure accurate merchandising.

•         Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with operational policies and procedures.

•         Train, coach, and develop staff to maintain high performance and customer service standards.

•         Monitor daily invoices handling and ensure proper documentation and compliance.

•         Support in workforce planning, shift scheduling, and attendance tracking.

•         Assist in preparing daily reports, analyzing store performance, and implementing improvement strategies.

•         Step in for the Store Manager during their absence.

Requirements:

•         2+ years of experience in retail/store operations or similar supervisory role.

•         Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

•         Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

•         Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and retail KPIs.

•         Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.

•         Knowledge of local market and customer preferences.

•         Experience in grocery or FMCG retail will be an added advantage.

•         Proficiency in MS Office and store management software.
