AutoCAD Draughtsman

The AutoCAD Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, layout plans, and manufacturing drawings for modular furniture projects. The role requires close coordination with sales, design, production, and site teams to ensure drawings are technically correct and aligned with client and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Drawings

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for modular office furniture including workstations, storage units, tables, partitions, and seating layouts
• Develop GA (General Arrangement) drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings
• Convert concept designs and layouts into production-ready drawings
• Ensure drawings comply with approved BOQs, specifications, and site conditions

Coordination & Revisions

• Coordinate with sales, design, and project teams to understand client requirements
• Incorporate comments and revisions from clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Maintain drawing revision control and ensure timely submission of updated drawing
• Follow company drawing standards, layer management, and naming conventions
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings and approval

Software & Technical Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D mandatory)
• Knowledge of modular furniture systems, materials, and hardware
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes for wood, metal, and laminate panels
• Familiarity with BOQs, tolerances, and site measurements
• Knowledge of SketchUp / 3D tools will be an added advantage

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma/Engineering in Civil, Architecture, Interior Design, or Mechanical Drafting
• Certification in AutoCAD preferred
