Ayurvedic Consultant

Job Summary

The Ayurvedic Consultant is responsible for diagnosing patients as per Ayurvedic principles, planning and supervising treatment protocols, prescribing medicines and therapies, and ensuring quality patient care in line with the organization’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient consultations and assess medical history, lifestyle, and symptoms using Ayurvedic diagnostic methods.
• Diagnose diseases based on Dosha, Prakriti, Vikriti, and Agni assessment.
• Prepare and prescribe individualized Ayurvedic treatment plans, including medicines, Panchakarma, and lifestyle recommendations.
• Supervise and guide therapists during Panchakarma and other treatment procedures.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when required.
• Ensure proper documentation of consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up notes.
• Educate patients on diet, lifestyle, and preventive healthcare as per Ayurveda.
• Coordinate with pharmacists for medicine availability and correct dispensing.
• Maintain ethical medical practice and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow clinic SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Support marketing and health awareness programs when required (health talks, camps, etc.).

Qualifications

• BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) – Mandatory
• MD (Ayurveda) – Preferred
• Valid State/Central Council Registration
• Additional certifications in Panchakarma or specialized therapies will be an advantage
• Experience1–5 years of clinical experience as an Ayurvedic Consultant
• Freshers with strong clinical knowledge may also be considered
• Skills & CompetenciesStrong clinical and diagnostic skills in Ayurveda
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
• Ability to explain treatment plans clearly to patients
• Team coordination with therapists and support staff
• Ethical, empathetic, and patient-centric approach
• Basic computer skills for patient records and reports
