Cradlewell provides structured newborn and postnatal care at home for mothers and babies during the most important early months. 

We are building a trusted network of trained care givers who can provide safe, hygienic, and attentive care to newborns and infants in family homes. 

Role Overview 

As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing dedicated newborn and infant care, ensuring the baby's comfort, hygiene, sleep, feeding routines, and overall wellbeing. 

This role focuses only on baby care, not general household work. 

Your work helps new parents feel supported during the first 30–90 days after delivery, which is one of the most sensitive phases for both mother and baby. 

Key Responsibilities 

Newborn Care 

• Daily baby bathing and hygiene care 
• Gentle baby oil massage 
• Diaper changing and dressing the baby 
• Swaddling and soothing the baby when crying 
• Monitoring baby comfort and wellbeing 

Feeding Support 

• Assisting with breastfeeding or bottle feeding 
• Burping the baby after feeds 
• Preparing formula milk if required 
• Sterilizing feeding bottles and utensils 

Sleep & Comfort 

• Helping the baby sleep peacefully 
• Establishing healthy sleep routines 
• Rocking and comforting the baby when needed 

Hygiene & Organization 

• Washing baby's clothes 
• Maintaining baby hygiene and sanitation 
• Organizing baby wardrobe and baby essentials 

Development & Care 

• Engaging in safe age-appropriate baby interaction 
• Monitoring baby's routine and behavior 
• Teaching parents basic baby care practices 

caregivers typically support newborn care during the first 30–60days post-delivery, while nannies may continue for longer childcare support. 

Services NOT Included in Role 

This role focuses only on baby care. 

The following are not part of the Caregiver role: 

• Household cleaning or mopping 
• Cooking meals for the family 
• Laundry for adults 
• Elderly care or patient care 
• Running household errands 
• Giving medical treatments, injections, or vaccinations 

These boundaries ensure caregivers remain focused exclusively on childcare quality and safety. 

Required Skills 

• Experience handling newborns and infants 
• Understanding of baby hygiene and safety 
• Basic knowledge of baby feeding and sleep routines 
• Calm, patient, and caring attitude 
• Ability to follow parents' instructions 

Preferred Background 

Candidates with experience as: 

• Japa caregiver 
• Newborn nanny 
• Babysitter 
• Hospital maternity ward assistant 
• Postnatal caregiver 

will be preferred. 

Work Structure (Typical) 

Shift options may include: 

Day Care Shift 

• 8–12 hours per day 

Night Care Shift 

• 9–12 hours overnight 

Live-in / 24-hour support 

• For newborn care during early weeks
