Backend Developer

Backend Development:

• Design and build scalable and secure backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work with databases, primarily PostgreSQL, ensuring smooth data flow and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate APIs seamlessly and maintain robust backend architectures.
• Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deploying backend systems.

DevOps Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
• Automate infrastructure management using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Monitor application performance and manage the deployment lifecycle across different environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all systems, leveraging cloud platforms like AWS or DigitalOcean.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Actively participate in team meetings, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
• Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide input on technical feasibility, architecture decisions, and development approaches.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members and clients.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development and DevOps.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and Express.js for building scalable backend services.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (or similar databases), optimizing complex queries and ensuring data integrity.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP) and managing infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git, and collaborative tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
• Experience with GraphQL or similar query languages.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda.
• Understanding of security best practices in backend and cloud services.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Experience with Jira or Trello for task management.
