Barista

Role Overview

We are looking for a Barista to lead front-line cafe operations, craft high-quality beverages, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. The ideal candidate has strong coffee skills, very good communication, and can guide junior baristas during busy shifts.

 Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve espresso-based and other hot/cold beverages as per recipes and brand standards.

- Greet customers, take orders, and handle billing with a friendly, customer-first attitude.

- Engage guests in conversation, understand their preferences, and recommend beverages/food items.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the counter, machines, and guest seating area.

- Train and mentor junior baristas on beverage preparation, hygiene, and service standards.

- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and speed of service during peak hours.

- Manage daily stock at the bar counter (coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposables) and report shortages.

- Follow all safety, food-handling, and hygiene guidelines.

Requirements

- 2+ years' experience** as Barista / Senior Barista / Café Crew in a café, coffee shop, or QSR.

- Strong communication skills** in English (Kannada/Hindi added advantage).

- Good product knowledge of coffee, espresso-based beverages, and café menu items (or willingness to learn fast).

- Customer-centric, presentable, and comfortable working in front-line, high-footfall environments.

- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and peak hours as per café operations.

Preferred

- Prior experience with branded cafés (e.g., Starbucks/Costa/CCD or similar).

- Basic POS/billing system knowledge.
