Barista cum Steward

Job Summary

The Barista cum Steward is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while also providing excellent table service and customer support.

This role combines barista skills with front-of-house service to ensure a warm, efficient, and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Barista Duties

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages as per standard recipes
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and equipment
• Monitor stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and bar supplies
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and café SOPs at all times

Steward / Service Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
• Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
• Handle basic customer queries and resolve service issues politely
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for smooth operations
• Customer ExperienceCreate a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests
• Suggest beverages, combos, or specials when appropriate
• Handle feedback positively and inform supervisors of concerns
• Maintain professional appearance and behaviour

General Responsibilities

• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Assist in inventory checks and daily cleaning routines
• Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and hygiene norms
• Support team members during peak hours or events
• Skills & QualificationsBasic knowledge of coffee brewing and beverages (training can be provided)
• Good communication skills (English and local language preferred)
• Customer-oriented attitude with a pleasant personality
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Experience Minimum 6 months of experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant preferred
