The Body Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the body shop operations, ensuring high-quality repairs, customer satisfaction, and efficient workflow. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team of technicians while maintaining operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

· Oversee the complete body shop operations including repair, painting, denting, and insurance claim processes.

· Ensure repairs meet Maruti Suzuki’s quality standards and industry regulations.

· Manage job allocation, workflow, and turnaround time to maximize efficiency.

· Monitor and control the inventory of spares, consumables, and paints to prevent wastage.

Customer Service & Satisfaction:

· Ensure timely and quality service delivery to customers.

· Handle customer complaints effectively and ensure quick resolution.

· Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores by improving service quality.

Team Leadership & Training:

· Supervise and lead a team of technicians, denters, painters, and service advisors.

· Conduct training programs to upgrade team skills and maintain safety standards.

· Motivate staff and monitor performance for productivity and efficiency.

Insurance & Claim Processing:

· Liaise with insurance companies to ensure seamless claim processing.

· Ensure proper documentation and processing of insurance claims for repairs.

· Maintain relationships with insurance surveyors and ensure compliance with claim policies.

Financial & Business Performance:

· Achieve monthly revenue targets and ensure profitability.

· Control costs by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing rework.

· Generate reports on workshop performance, revenue, and expenses for management review.

Key Requirements:

✔ Education: Diploma/Degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

✔ Experience: 5+ years of experience in body shop operations, preferably in a dealership setting.

✔ Technical Knowledge: Expertise in collision repair, painting techniques, insurance claim processing, and workshop management.

✔ Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve service excellence.

✔ Customer Handling Skills: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

✔ Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management System) and MS Office.
