Job Summary:

A Tailor Master oversees tailoring operations, ensuring high-quality garment construction, alterations, and fittings. They supervise tailoring staff, maintain production standards, and ensure customer satisfaction through precise craftsmanship and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take accurate measurements and conduct fittings for customers.
• Cut, sew, and alter garments to customer specifications.
• Supervise and train tailors and sewing staff.
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and finishing.
• Manage workflow to meet delivery deadlines.
• Inspect garments for quality before delivery.
• Advise customers on fabric selection and garment styles.
• Handle complex alterations and custom tailoring projects.
• Maintain tailoring equipment and workspace cleanliness.
• Manage inventory of fabrics, threads, and tailoring supplies.

• Expert knowledge of garment construction and tailoring techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Master Tailor or Senior Tailor.
• Experience in handling custom-made garments and alterations.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and garment styles.
• Formal tailoring training or certification is an advantage.

Work Environment:

• Tailoring shop, fashion house, or garment manufacturing unit.
• May require standing for long periods and meeting tight deadlines.
