Job Title: BMS Operator – Data Center

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 2–5 Years( Data center exp. Will add value)

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.E. (Electrical / Electronics)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a BMS Operator to monitor and control critical data center infrastructure systems through the Building Management System (BMS). The candidate will ensure 24x7 monitoring, alarm handling, and coordination with site teams to maintain uninterrupted data center operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

BMS Monitoring & Operations

•Continuous monitoring of BMS screens for electrical and mechanical systems

•Real-time monitoring of alarms, alerts, and trends

•Immediate escalation of critical alarms as per SOP

Systems Covered Under BMS

•Electrical Systems: HT/LT panels, UPS, PDUs, transformers

•Mechanical Systems: HVAC (CRAC/PAC, AHU, chillers), ventilation

•Fire & Safety: Fire alarm interface, smoke detection (where integrated)

•Utilities: DG sets, fuel systems, water systems

Alarm Handling & Reporting

•Analyze alarms and take first-level action

•Inform technicians, engineers, and managers during faults

•Record alarms, events, and actions in logbooks and shift reports

Coordination & Communication

•Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and HVAC technicians

•Support planned maintenance activities through BMS isolation

•Communicate effectively during emergency or breakdown situations

Documentation & Compliance

•Maintain shift handover reports

•Update daily logs, trend reports, and event records

•Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and data center standards
