Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for potential customers, responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects to build a robust sales pipeline. This role requires an energetic self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a passion for technology/our industry, who is eager to learn and grow within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively identify and research potential customers and target accounts using various tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM data, industry lists).
- Outreach: Conduct multi-channel outreach campaigns via cold calls, personalized emails, and social selling to engage prospects and articulate our value proposition.
- Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on established criteria (e.g., budget, authority, need, timeline—BANT) to determine if they are a good fit for our products/services.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule qualified meetings, appointments, and product demonstrations for the Account Executives (AEs) and sales team.
- CRM Management: Meticulously track all lead activity, interactions, and progress in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to ensure accurate reporting and a smooth handoff process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align on lead generation strategies and campaigns, and collaborate with AEs to develop account intelligence and refine messaging.
- Performance Tracking: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified opportunities and meetings booked.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5 years of experience in a sales, telemarketing, or customer service role is preferred.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and energetic phone presence.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales automation/prospecting tools is essential.
- Soft Skills:
- Self-Motivation & Drive: Extremely self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and handle rejection.
- Active Listening: Strong active listening skills to understand customer pain points and requirements.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills to manage a high volume of prospects and tasks concurrently.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
