Business Development Manager – Corporate Gifting

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager – Corporate Gifting is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and managing corporate clients for gifting solutions. This role focuses on developing relationships with HR, marketing, procurement, and leadership teams to deliver customized gifting programs for employee engagement, client appreciation, festivals, and corporate events.

The ideal candidate has strong B2B sales experience, understands the nuances of branded merchandise and gifting, and excels at consultative selling and relationship management.


Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Identify and develop new corporate accounts for gifting and merchandise solutions
  • Build and execute a business development strategy focused on key industries and enterprise clients
  • Analyze market trends, seasonal demand (festivals, onboarding, events), and competitor offerings
  • Develop pricing strategies and proposals aligned with margin and growth goals

Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Prospect and onboard corporate clients including HR, Admin, Marketing, and Procurement teams
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
  • Pitch customized gifting solutions based on client budgets, branding, and objectives
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term agreements

Relationship & Account Management

  • Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Manage strategic accounts and drive repeat and bulk orders
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through timely delivery and service coordination
  • Upsell and cross-sell new gifting products, festive collections, and value-added services

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with design, sourcing, operations, and logistics teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Work with marketing teams on catalogs, campaigns, and seasonal promotions
  • Share client feedback to improve product offerings and service quality

Reporting & Performance

  • Maintain accurate sales data, pipelines, and forecasts in CRM systems
  • Track KPIs including revenue, conversion rates, and account growth
  • Prepare regular performance and market insight reports for leadership


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3–8 years of B2B business development or sales experience
  • Proven experience in corporate gifting, promotional merchandise, events, or related industries
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing key accounts and enterprise clients


Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing corporate client network in HR, Admin, or Marketing functions
  • Experience handling bulk orders, seasonal demand, and customization projects
  • Familiarity with branding, printing, packaging, and sourcing processes
  • MBA or advanced business degree
