Job Description

A BDE, or Business Development Executive, is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive company growth, often focusing on strategic long-term relationships. Key duties include prospecting for new clients, building relationships with potential and existing customers, creating sales strategies, and negotiating deals. They also conduct market research, collaborate with internal teams, and present proposals to achieve revenue goals. 


Core responsibilities

  • Prospecting and lead generation: Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients through market research and direct outreach.
  • Relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Sales and negotiation: Developing and implementing sales strategies, creating proposals, and negotiating contracts to secure deals and meet revenue targets.
  • Strategic planning: Conducting market research and analyzing trends to help create effective business and sales strategies.
  • Internal collaboration: Working with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure solutions are tailored to client needs and to support the sales process.
  • Performance tracking: Monitoring business performance and reporting on key activities and results, often using CRM software.
