Business Development Executive – Cybersecurity & GRC

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Business Development Executive – Cybersecurity & GRC. The role focuses on driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, strategic account development, and data-driven sales execution.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the end-to-end business development lifecycle, collaborating closely with Finance, Marketing, and Delivery teams, and ensuring accurate revenue forecasting to support real-time and predictive financial analysis.

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and analytically driven Business Development Executive with a strong passion for selling Cybersecurity and GRC consulting services. This role requires a balance of relationship building, pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and continuous improvement through market intelligence and marketing insights.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Plan and execute end-to-end Sales & Business Development initiatives for Cybersecurity and GRC consulting services.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through calls, references, bids, partnerships, and marketing-driven campaigns.
- Build, maintain, and manage a robust and qualified sales pipeline across Enterprise and Corporate verticals.
- Drive account growth and open new large and strategic accounts.
Revenue Forecasting & Financial Collaboration
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly revenue forecasts to the Finance team with high accuracy.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene and ensure deal stages, probabilities, and expected closure dates are consistently updated in CRM tools.
- Support real-time and predictive revenue analysis by providing data-driven inputs on pipeline health, deal velocity, and conversion ratios.
- Actively participate in forecast review meetings with Finance and Management to explain variances, risks, and upside opportunities.
Marketing & Market Intelligence Integration
- Actively review and incorporate recommendations, findings, and campaign insights generated by recent Marketing Interns, including:
- Lead quality analysis
- Campaign performance feedback
- Market segmentation insights
- Content and messaging effectiveness
- Provide structured feedback to Marketing teams to refine campaigns, target industries, and value propositions.
- Participate in joint sales–marketing planning sessions to align outreach strategies with market demand.
Client Engagement & Operations
- Communicate with prospective clients, schedule meetings, and deliver product/service presentations and demos.
- Handle business proposals, track POs and invoices, and ensure timely follow-ups for deal closure.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for reporting, audits, and management reviews.
- Ensure excellent customer service and long-term relationship management to drive repeat business and referrals.
Strategy & Market Analysis
- Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends in cybersecurity and GRC.
- Understand tender procurement processes, governance models, and compliance requirements in complex corporate environments.
- Contribute to business development strategy formulation and go-to-market initiatives.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity concepts and GRC frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Familiarity with ASV scanning tools such as Qualys, Tenable, and TAC Security.
- Knowledge of Information Security solutions, system integration, and IT services sales.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate pipeline data into actionable revenue forecasts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, lead generation, opportunity management, and deal closure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within IT / Cybersecurity domains.
- High self-motivation, adaptability, and a strong learning mindset.
Compensation Details
- Annual CTC includes 30% variable pay, linked to clearly defined revenue and performance targets.
- No cap on incentives; 100% target achievement results in 100% payout of variable compensation.
