Job Description
*Job Title:* Business Development Executive – B2B (Food, FMCG, Restaurants & Supermarkets)
*Location* *:* Indiranagar
*Experience:* 1–3 years (Freshers with strong communication and sales aptitude may apply)
*Key Responsibilities:*
• Identify and develop new B2B clients including restaurants, cafés, cloud kitchens, supermarkets, food retailers, and FMCG distributors/retail chains.
• Conduct regular field visits to pitch food and FMCG products/services and build strong business relationships.
• Present and explain food and FMCG product portfolios, sourcing, quality standards, pricing, and value propositions to decision-makers.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close deals while ensuring long-term partnerships within the food and FMCG ecosystem.
• Coordinate with internal teams (operations, nutrition, logistics, finance) for smooth onboarding and execution.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback in the food, FMCG, and retail sectors.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and prepare regular reports on field activity and conversions.
*Required Skills:*
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to confidently interact with restaurant owners, purchase managers, FMCG buyers, distributors, and supermarket category managers.
• Good understanding or strong interest in food products, FMCG goods, supply chains, and distribution networks.
• Negotiation and persuasion skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Willingness to do extensive field work and travel locally.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, CRM tools, or sales reporting is an advantage.
*Qualifications:*
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Hotel Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
• MBA / PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing is a plus (not mandatory).
• Prior exposure to B2B sales, food distribution, FMCG, horeca, or retail sales is preferred.
*Additional Notes:*
• Male candidates preferred due to the field-intensive nature of the role.
• Female candidates are welcome if professional, confident, and willing to do regular field work.
• Local area knowledge of restaurants, supermarkets, FMCG outlets, distributors, and food businesses is an added advantage.
