Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Handling:
- Greeting and Assisting Customers: Ensure that customers feel welcomed and attended to upon arrival.
- Understanding Customer Needs: Engage with customers to understand their preferences, offering personalized recommendations for art or crafts.
- Resolving Queries and Issues: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, or requests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
2. Sales Closure:
- Sales Process Management: Oversee the sales process from initial customer interaction to closing the sale, ensuring all transactions are smooth and efficient.
- Product Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of the products in the gallery, including artists' work, pricing, and unique features, to effectively pitch and close sales. o Achieving Sales Targets: Set and meet sales targets for the branch, motivating the team to reach objectives.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell other items in the gallery to enhance the customer’s experience and increase sales.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Building Strong Relationships: Establish long-term relationships with repeat customers by offering personalized services and ensuring ongoing communication.
- Feedback Collection: Solicit customer feedback regularly to improve products, services, and overall customer experience.
- Follow-Up: Implement strategies for following up with customers after purchases, encouraging them to return or refer others.
- Customer Loyalty Programs: Develop and manage programs that reward loyal customers and encourage return visits.
4. Team Management:
- Staff Supervision: Manage and oversee gallery staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and performing well.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess the performance of team members, providing guidance and support to improve their performance.
5. Inventory Management:
- Stock Monitoring: Oversee the inventory of art and crafts, ensuring that the gallery’s stock is well-maintained and adequately stocked with popular items. o
- Ordering: Work with suppliers to order new stock and ensure timely deliveries.
Required Skills and Qualities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deal with different types of customers effectively.
- Sales Skills: Strong closing techniques and the ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to meet goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Problem Solving: Quick thinking and resourceful in resolving issues or complaints.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling sales, inventory, and customer information.
- Knowledge of Art and Crafts: Understanding of the gallery’s products to effectively engage customers and answer their questions.
