Restaurant Cashier – Job Role & ResponsibilitiesA restaurant cashier is responsible for handling customer payments and supporting smooth front-of-house operations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGreet customers politely and take orders (in person or at the counter)
• Accurately process payments (cash, card, digital wallets)
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system
• Issue receipts and return correct change
• Handle billing and resolve payment-related issues
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure correct orders
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier counter and dining area (if required)
• Balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
