Catering Manager (F&B Manager - Foodcourt /Mess Area)

The Mess Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end food service operations for 2,500–3,000 students, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. The role includes overseeing daily kitchen and dining operations, maintaining cleanliness as per food safety norms, and ensuring compliance with all internal and statutory checklists. The Mess Manager will plan and implement duty rosters, manage optimal manpower utilization, and control operational costs, including food wastage reduction.

The position requires strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff, conduct regular briefings, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement. The Mess Manager will coordinate with stores, vendors, and management to ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted service. Monitoring portion control, production planning, inventory usage, and adherence to SOPs is critical. The role demands proactive problem-solving, accountability, and a strong focus on improving team efficiency, discipline, and overall student satisfaction.
