Job Summary:The CCTV Monitoring Operator is responsible for monitoring live video footage from security cameras, ensuring the safety and security of the premises. The operator must be vigilant, alert, and proactive in identifying any security breaches or suspicious activities. In case of emergencies or security incidents, the operator will notify the appropriate authorities and follow established procedures.

• Key Responsibilities:Monitor CCTV feeds in real-time for suspicious activities, safety risks, and security violations.
• Record and archive footage as per company policies.
• Identify and report security incidents, suspicious behavior, or potential risks to the security team or management.
• Ensure the proper functioning of CCTV cameras and report any technical issues to the IT or maintenance team.
• Assist in investigations by providing relevant footage or supporting information.
• Communicate with security personnel on the ground to coordinate responses to security issues.
• Perform regular system checks to ensure cameras and monitors are operational.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations concerning CCTV footage.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports regarding CCTV monitoring activities.
• Follow emergency procedures in case of incidents like fire, theft, or intrusions.
• Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in security or surveillance are a plus).
• Experience in CCTV monitoring or security roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert for long periods.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to use CCTV software and technology efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work Environment:The job typically involves working in a control room or security office.
• The role may require sitting for long periods and monitoring multiple screens.
• Work may include rotating shifts or overnight shifts depending on the needs of the organization.
