Job Description
Job Summary
The Preschool Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the preschool program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, staff, and families. This role supports curriculum implementation, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and family engagement while promoting high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
- Oversee daily preschool operations and classroom activities
- Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Ensure learning environments meet safety, licensing, and quality standards
- Monitor classroom management and student progress
Staff Support & Supervision
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training preschool staff
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to teachers
- Develop staff schedules and ensure proper classroom coverage
- Promote teamwork and professional development opportunities
Family & Community Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families
- Support enrollment, orientation, and parent communication
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly
Compliance & Administration
- Maintain accurate student and program records
- Assist with budgeting, supply ordering, and resource management
- Support program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
