Centre Director (CD)

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:45 AM – 6:30 PM

• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Role Overview

The Centre Director is responsible for the overall functioning of the preschool. This includes academic supervision, staff management, parent communication, administrative oversight, and ensuring the centre maintains high standards of safety, care, and early childhood education.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

• Oversee the implementation of the preschool curriculum and learning activities.

• Guide teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and child engagement.

• Ensure developmentally appropriate practices are followed in all classrooms.

Staff Management

• Supervise, mentor, and support teachers and support staff.

• Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.

• Organize staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Parent Communication

• Build strong relationships with parents and guardians.

• Conduct parent orientations, meetings, and feedback sessions.

• Address parent concerns and ensure transparent communication.

Centre Operations

• Ensure smooth daily functioning of the preschool.

• Maintain attendance records, reports, and documentation.

• Ensure safety, hygiene, and child protection standards are maintained.

Admissions & Community Engagement

• Support admissions and interact with prospective parents.

• Represent the preschool professionally in the community.

• Help organize school events, celebrations, and activities.

Child Development Oversight

• Monitor children’s developmental progress.

• Support teachers in identifying learning needs and providing appropriate guidance.
