Chartered Accountant – Execution Lead (Accounting, Compliance And Reporting)

Job Title: Chartered Accountant – Execution Lead (Accounting, GST, Direct Tax & Compliance)

Location: Bangalore

Experience2–6 years post-qualification

Role Objective: We are looking for a hands-on Chartered Accountant who will own end-to-end execution and deadline management for a portfolio of small and mid-sized clients. The role involves supervising routine compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and acting as the first point of accountability before escalation to the Principal.

This is not a pure filing role — it is an execution leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Books Oversight

• Review and supervise day-to-day accounting for multiple clients
• Ensure books are properly maintained in Zoho Books / Tally
• Monthly closure of books, reconciliations, and hygiene checks
• Review revenue recognition, expense classification, and provisions
• Ensure audit-ready books at all times

2. GST Compliance:

• End-to-end responsibility for:
• GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation
• Input tax credit review and optimisation
• GST notices, replies, and department communications
• Track filing calendars and ensure zero missed deadlines

3. TDS & Payroll Compliance

• Supervise:
• TDS applicability analysis (194C, 194J, 192, etc.)
• Timely filing of TDS returns and challans
• Form 16 / 16A issuance
• Review payroll compliance, PF/ESI where applicable

4. Income Tax & Statutory Compliance

• Review and supervise:
• Advance tax workings
• Income-tax returns (individuals, firms, LLPs, companies)
• Tax audit data preparation and coordination
• First-level review of notices, scrutiny replies, and submissions

5. Financial Statements & MIS:

• Preparation and review of:
• Financial statements (BS, P&L, schedules)
• Client-level MIS and variance analysis
• Ensure alignment between books, GST, TDS, and income-tax data

6. Execution & Team Coordination

• Act as execution owner for a defined client bucket
• Allocate work to accountants / executives and review output
• Track deadlines across GST, TDS, ROC, and IT
• Escalate risks proactively — no last-minute firefighting

7. Client Coordination:

• Handle routine client communication on:
• Data requirements
• Compliance timelines
• Clarifications on accounting / tax matters
• Maintain professional, structured communication

Tools & Systems:

• Zoho Books (mandatory)
• Tally
• Income-tax portal, GST portal, TRACES
• Excel / Google Sheets (strong working knowledge)

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Strong execution mindset — comfortable handling volume
• Very strong fundamentals in:

• Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and process-focused
• Comfortable working in a growing CA / advisory setup
