Job Summary:
The CDP at BEYONDBURG INC. plays a key role in assisting the Executive Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring quality standards, managing inventory and maintaining kitchen hygiene. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to develop their managerial skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the section is prepared, organized, and stocked before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health & safety standards.
- Prepare dishes according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Cook meals quickly and efficiently during service
- Work closely with other CDPs and junior chefs (commis).
- Coordinate with Executive Sous Chef
- Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Manage Kitchen inventories
- Monitor and minimize waste.
- Order and rotate ingredients as needed (FIFO method).
- Follow HACCP and food safety standards.
- Keep the workstation clean and sanitized.
- Ensure all equipment is used and maintained correctly.
- Taste and check dishes before service.
- Key Requirements:
· Prior experience in a kitchen environment is mandatoy.
· Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
· Strong teamwork and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to kitchen standards.
· Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
