Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Demi Chef de Partie – Asian Cuisine who will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a wide range of Chinese dishes as part of our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation, with an eye for quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily operations of the Asian kitchen section
• Prepare and cook a variety of Asian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes (Chinese)
• Ensure food preparation meets hygiene and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and discipline in the kitchen
• Assist in mise-en-place and food prep for service
• Monitor food stock and report shortages
• Follow SOPs for portion control and recipe execution
• Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal specials
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with the team

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Chinese cooking in a professional kitchen
• Knowledge of various Chinese cuisines.
• Familiarity with kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Basic understanding of kitchen inventory and food cost control
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
