Clinical Assistant

**Job Title:** Chairside Clinical Assistant  

**Position Summary**

The Chairside Clinical Assistant supports the dentist in delivering high-quality dental care efficiently and comfortably. This role involves clinical assistance during procedures, maintaining operatory readiness, ensuring infection control, and providing a smooth and reassuring patient experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, surgical, and implant treatments.  

- Prepare the operatory with required instruments, materials, and equipment before and after each patient.  

- Manage suction, retraction, and moisture control effectively during treatment.  

- Handle dental materials such as impression materials, cements, composites, and bonding agents accurately.  

- Follow strict sterilization and disinfection protocols for instruments and operatories.  

- Maintain patient records, lab work coordination, and treatment notes as directed.  

- Support digital processes like intraoral scanning, radiography, and dental photography where applicable.  

- Monitor stock levels of consumables and materials; assist in inventory management.  

- Communicate courteously with patients and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.  

- Coordinate with the dental laboratory and reception team for smooth case flow. 

**Qualifications and Skills**

- Training will be provided within the clinic.  

- Prior experience in a dental setup is preferred but not mandatory.  

- Good understanding of clinical cleanliness and sterilization procedures.  

- Eagerness to learn dental instruments, materials, and procedures.  

- Professional attitude with good communication and teamwork skills.  

- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn digital dentistry tools.
