CNC Setter

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Setup: Install appropriate cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and raw materials according to blueprints or set-up sheets
2. Programming & Editing: Load, check, and edit CNC programs (G-code) to ensure proper operation
3. Trial Runs & Calibration: Run initial tests, adjust machine offsets (tool and work), and verify precision using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
4. Troubleshooting: Identify and correct out-of-tolerance machining or malfunctions
5. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and keep machines clean to ensure functionality
6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations (e.g., wearing protective gear)

Technical Skills:

1. Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (lathe or milling).
2. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
3. Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
4. Knowledge of CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens)
5. Strong attention to detail, mathematical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
