CNC Setter / CNC Programmer

CNC PROGRAMMER :

• Develop CNC programs using Mastercam as per drawing
• Analyze engineering drawings & GD&T
• Select suitable tools, holders & machining sequence
• Generate and verify toolpaths before machining
• Post programs for FANUC control machines
• Support CNC operators during setup & prove-out
• Modify programs to meet tolerance & surface finish
• Reduce cycle time and machining cost
• Coordinate with production & quality departments
• Ensure safe machining practices
• Maintain program documentation & revision control
• Support new part development & trials
• Troubleshoot machining & programming issues

CNC Setter – Job Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines as per job requirement
• Load programs and verify correctness
• Set tools and work offsets accurately
• Perform dry run & program prove-out
• Ensure proper clamping and safety
• Take first-off sample and get QC approval
• Monitor machining process for consistency
• Make offset corrections as required
• Reduce rejections and tool breakage
• Maintain daily production records
• Follow safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with operator, programmer & QC
• Maintain machine cleanliness (5S)

• Preferred / Added AdvantageExperience in FANUC machines
• Exposure to Mastercam programs
• Ability to guide CNC operators
• Shift handling experience
