Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook dishes as per standard recipes and guidelines
- Assist the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure mise en place (pre-preparation) is completed before service
- Maintain quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
- Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per FSSAI standards
- Proper storage and labeling of food items
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Follow kitchen safety standards and procedures
- Train and guide Commis 2 / Commis 3 if required
- Skills RequiredBasic to advanced cooking techniques
- Knowledge of Indian / Continental / relevant cuisine
- Time management and multitasking
- Teamwork and communication
- Attention to detail in presentation
- Knowledge of food safety & hygiene
