Commis (Commi 1 / 2 / 3)

Job Summary:

 A Commis shall be responsible for preparation and cooking of food. They are responsible for ensuring high standards of hygiene, preparation, and presentation while supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking:

·      Preparation of ingredients and cooking dishes as per recipes and instructions

·      Maintenance of consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation

Kitchen Operations:

·      Contribute towards daily kitchen operations efficiently and check adherence to assigned tasks

·      Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of meals

Hygiene and Safety:

·      Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen

·      Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling food and equipment

·      Ensure proper storage and labelling of ingredients

Inventory Management:

·      Monitor and manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies

·      Report shortages or issues with ingredients or kitchen equipment to Kitchen Manager

Learning and Development:

·      Guide the Kitchen Staff in picking up Culinary Skills while on the Job (expected from a commis 1)

·      Stay updated with culinary techniques and kitchen trends

Teamwork:

·      Support the kitchen team in maintaining a positive and productive work environment

·      Take on additional responsibilities as needed during peak hours
