Construction / Site Supervisor

The Site Supervisor at TNPC will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at project sites, ensuring execution as per approved drawings, quality standards, safety norms, and project timelines. The role demands strong coordination with engineers, contractors, and labor teams to deliver projects with TNPC’s commitment to precision and quality.

Site supervisors play a critical role in managing workforce, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Execution & SupervisionSupervise daily construction activities and ensure work is executed as per drawings and specifications
• Monitor labor productivity, workmanship, and adherence to project schedules
• Ensure all construction activities meet TNPC quality benchmarks
• 2. Quality ControlConduct regular site inspections and checks
• Identify deviations and take corrective actions
• Ensure proper implementation of construction methods and materials
• 3. Workforce & Vendor ManagementManage site laborers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Allocate tasks and monitor performance
• Maintain discipline and resolve on-site issues
• 4. Material & Resource ManagementTrack material consumption and site inventory
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material supply
• Minimize wastage and ensure efficient utilization of resources
• 5. Safety ComplianceEnforce site safety standards and protocols
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure PPE usage
• Report and handle any site incidents as per safety guidelines
• 6. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with site engineers, architects, and consultants
• Act as the communication bridge between site and management
• Ensure smooth workflow across all trades
• 7. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain daily site reports (DSR)
• Track progress against timelines
• Report issues, delays, and updates to the Senior Site Engineer
• Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of construction processes and site execution
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Leadership and team management skills
• Good communication and coordination ability
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulations
• QualificationsDiploma / ITI / B.E. in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Freshers are welcome (training will be provided)
• Prior site experience is an added advantage
• Experience0–3 years (Freshers encouraged to apply)
