Looking for continental commie 1


Responsibility of a commie is to support the more senior chefs by assisting in the preparation of ingredients and dishes. This can include tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and ensuring that the kitchen is clean and organized. Essentially, the commis chef helps keep things running smoothly and learns the ropes of professional cooking under the guidance of experienced chefs.

  1. Preparation: Assisting with the preparation of ingredients and mise and place (prepping ingredients before service).
  2. Cooking: Taking on more advanced cooking tasks compared to lower-level commis chefs, often including cooking some dishes or components of dishes under supervision.
  3. Station Management: Managing specific sections of the kitchen, such as the grill or sauce station, and ensuring that these areas are kept clean and organized.
  4. Learning: Continuing to develop skills and knowledge about cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and the restaurant’s menu.
  5. Support: Assisting senior chefs and sous chefs with various tasks as needed during service.
