Barista responsibilities in restaurants or cafés:

1. Prepare and serve coffee and beverages such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, and cold coffee.
2. Operate and maintain the coffee machine and grinder properly.
3. Take customer orders and provide good customer service.
4. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and equipment.
5. Ensure proper stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
6. Follow standard recipes and maintain beverage quality.
7. Handle basic cash or billing if required.
8. Support the café or service team during busy hours.

Continental Commie 1, 2, 3 levels responsibilities as follows:

I. Commis 3 (Entry Level)Assist senior chefs in basic food preparation.

1. Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables and ingredients.
2. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work station.
3. Follow instructions from Commis 1, Commis 2, or Chef de Partie.
4. Help in storing ingredients and maintaining kitchen hygiene.

II. Commis 2 (Intermediate Level)Prepare basic continental dishes under supervision.

1. Handle mise en place (pre-preparation of ingredients).
2. Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
3. Assist Commis 1 and Chef de Partie during service.
4. Maintain food quality and hygiene standards.

III. Commis 1 (Senior Commis)Prepare continental dishes independently.

1. Manage a specific section of the kitchen if required.
2. Guide and train Commis 2 and Commis 3 staff.
3. Ensure proper plating, taste, and presentation.
4. Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow standard recipes.
